SMA Tech - The company

SMA Tech GmbH & Co. KG is a subsidiary of Scheidt GmbH & Co. KG and was founded in 2022. Scheidt took over a metalworking company in Niedernwöhren in order to be able to produce the doors and ventilation elements for its own transformer stations itself.

Scheidt specialises in the construction of supply and transformer stations as well as individual switchgear houses with electrotechnical equipment. Thanks to the new subsidiary SMA Tech Innovative doors and ventilation grilles developed and produced independently from aluminium.

At our production facility in Niedernwöhren, we manufacture around 4,000 doors and ventilation grilles in various sizes and designs. Our cumulative annual turnover currently amounts to approx. 3.8 million euros.

SMA Tech currently employs 19 Employeeswhich are located on a production and storage area totalling 1.500 m² are divided into 600 m² for aluminium processing, 400 m² for the locksmith's shop and 500 m² Storage space.

The new plant in Rinteln-Süd

A look into the future

Our new production facility in Rinteln-Süd (Stükenstraße) offers an extended production and storage area of around 4.700 m² as well as an office and social wing with a usable area of 530 m². Here up to 46 Production employees and at least 18 office employees. The Production capacity will be gradually implemented over the next two years. quadrupled. Thanks to the flexible planning, the production hall can be mirrored.

The hall and the office wing will be built according to the latest construction and energy standards, including a 499 kWp photovoltaic system. Naturally, Scheidt GmbH & Co. KG is supplying the transformer station.Our construction partner, Kögel from Bad Oeynhausen, is the general contractor responsible for planning and realising the project. Other partners supporting us are Dammeyer Ingenieure & Architekten from Enger, Logo-Plan from Bad Fredeburg and Kirchner Ingenieure from Stadthagen.

We are also investing in state-of-the-art CNC-controlled machines, Storage systems and Ergonomic production equipment. The provisional total investment amounts to around 8 million euros.
